A CCBA Member must be an attorney admitted and in good standing with the Colorado Supreme Court and the attorney’s creditor/debtor practice must be limited to the representation of creditors and/or purchasers of debt or debt security instruments, in-house representation of creditors, purchasers of debt or debt security or to the defense thereof.
No person shall be eligible for, or continue membership in this association if he or she is a member of any consumer bar association or any consumer bar group or who represents consumers in actions against attorneys, collection agencies, purchasers of debt or debt security instruments or any other business or person who regularly collects delinquent debt. An Applicant is not eligible if as a part of his/her business they solicit business from consumers against collection agencies, purchasers of debt or debt security instruments or any other business or person who regularly collects delinquent debt. An attorney’s business cannot be comprised of representing consumers in bankruptcy actions. All applicants will be approved at the sole discretion of the application board. As a condition of membership, new members, renewing members and former members who are rejoining shall sign a certificate confirming their meeting of the qualifications for membership.
